Orlando plastic surgeon James A. Matas, MD, celebrating his 28th year in practice in Central Florida, has been nominated to serve as Vice President of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. The Aesthetic Society, comprised of 2400 members nationwide and worldwide, is the leading national organization devoted entirely to the advancement of cosmetic plastic surgery, and recognized throughout the world as the authoritative source for cosmetic surgery education.
An ASAPS member since 1997, Dr. Matas is Medical Director of his own private practice, the Advanced Centre for Plastic Surgery, which specializes in facial, breast and body contouring surgery. He is the Past President of the Florida Society of Plastic Surgeons www.fsps.org and also serves as Review Editor for the Aesthetic Surgery Journal, a publication of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.
