WHY DO I HAVE OILY SKIN???

Oily skin means busy skin!

In short, oily skin is caused by over-productivity in the oil gland, which leads to increased sebum in the skin. Oily skin is typically identified by the extreme shine of the face, large pores, or blemishes. The texture of the skin can appear heavy and feel greasy.

There are many reasons why a person might have oily skin. Very often it is heredity. In these cases, it matters little what the person does to combat it, they must simply except they have oily skin and get the best skin products to deal with it.

However, many of the other causes of oily skin are factors that can be changed although each change should be handled with care and accompanied by an effective skin care routine. Please contact our medical aesthetician for a complimentary skin analysis with product recommendations from Image Skincare.

Oily skin and climate, as well as hormones can go hand in hand

Humidity and hot weather cause the skin to dehydrate and will therefore naturally provoke the skin's oil glands into action, causing oily skin. In all instances a combination of diet, exercise and skincare routine will counter the problems of oily skin. In fact, of all skin types, oily skin does require the most care which makes the right skin care products all that more important.

Hormone levels are also important. Women who are pregnant obviously experience a huge surge in hormones and this can affect the skin. Those women taking contraceptive pills or hormone replacement pills can also suffer from oily skin as a result. Please contact our medical aesthetician for a complimentary skin analysis with product recommendations from Image Skincare.
